Practical insights from real experiences with Chinese investors in Vietnam
When Chinese investors look at Vietnam, they often receive investment guides filled with promises, figures, and general advice. However, what these documents rarely mention are the real pain points—the legal risks that can delay progress, increase costs, or even derail an entire transaction.
This new series will share the observations and real-world experiences we have accumulated while working alongside many Chinese enterprises investing in Vietnam. From investment structures, land, licensing procedures to dispute resolution, each article will focus on the real challenges and lessons learned—perspectives that go beyond ordinary investment guides.
We will also suggest practical solutions to help investors overcome these obstacles rather than be caught off guard.
We start this series with one of the biggest pain points: the rejection of E-passports bearing the “nine-dash line” by the licensing authorities in Vietnam.
