Vietnam’s Five-Year Pilot Program: Flexible Land Use for Commercial Housing Development
The Vietnamese government is implementing an innovative pilot initiative that allows investors to flexibly utilize various types of land, including agricultural and non-agricultural land, for the development of commercial housing projects. This five-year pilot scheme presents a valuable opportunity to expand construction land, reduce administrative barriers and costs, and minimize land disputes. However, to ensure sustainable and harmonious development, these projects must align with district-level land use plans or construction and urban plans, and obtain approval from the provincial People’s Committee.
